Last summer, Kenya Moore and Bravo shared that she would no longer be a part of the cast of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. TMZ reported that while production was filming, Moore shared an explicit photo of Brittany Eady without her consent. Eady was not in attendance at the event when it happened. At the time, Moore denied the claims, calling it “fake news.” Moore reportedly shared the revenge porn photos because Eady allegedly threated her with a gun. Bravo denied these claims in a statement to People. On June 25, Bravo formally announced that Moore would be suspended indefinitely from the show. Here’s what happened in the episode that led to Moore’s firing.
On the April 6 episode of RHOA, Eady showed up to the opening of Moore’s salon with flowers and an apology note. Moore ignored Eady’s gift and apology and spoke out to the crowd at the party, asking for everybody’s “attention.” After this, Eady left the party. Moore continued talking to the crowd, “I get people trying to bring me down for no reason and I’m actually really sick of it… This person who came here with these fake flowers… because it’s fake and I don’t want fake women around me.” Kelli Ferrell tried to keep the card but Moore insisted that the card be “burned.” “I did a little research and I found out who this bitch is,” Moore said. She pulled out a stack of posters with photos of Eady’s face on it, pointing out different procedures she allegedly had. Then she pulled out the next poster. “See that? She used to be a video ho.”
At that moment, Ferrell and other guests left the event. Moore pulled out another poster, screaming, “See? That’s some nasty work.” Bravo then cut the video and said that due to the graphic nature of the images, they decided not to “exhibit them.” More women began speaking out, saying it was “too much” and going “too far” in showing the explicit photos. Moore defended herself, reiterating that Eady “threatened her with a gun.” As more of the cast left the event, they became more appalled at Moore’s actions. “Production, we’re ready to go right now. Like, I don’t even wanna be on camera no more,” Porsha Williams concluded.
