Arizona Cardinals to meet with Syracuse’s Fadil Diggs

Add Syracuse pass rusher Fadil Diggs to the list of pass rushers the Cardinals are considering.

The Arizona Cardinals are doing predraft work on hundreds of player prospects, but the position that seems to be getting the most attention is on the defensive edge. Many of their top-30 visits have been with the top pass-rushing prospects in the draft.

One player the Cardinals have been in contact with is Syrasuce EDGE Fadil Diggs. Diggs told Justin Melo for The Draft Network that he has had a lot of virtual meetings on Zoom and noted that he is going to meet with the Cardinals as well as the New York Giants, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Diggs played four seasons for Texas A&M before transferring to Syracuse. After four sacks and 11 tackles for loss in 2023 for A&M, he finished his college career logging 7.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss, both career-highs.

He also was fantastic at the NFL combine, showing elite athletic traits.

He is 6-foot-4 and 257 pounds with 33 3/8-inch arms. His 40 time was 4.57 seconds and he posted a 30.5-inch vertical leap and 121-inch broad jump.

He is viewed largely as a Day 3 prospect, but with his size, production and athleticism, we will see. The Cardinals have selections in the fourth, fifth and seventh rounds of the draft.
