Fortnite is all about finding boss battle arenas, sprawling cities, and random huts at the far edges of the map. Where there are named landmarks, there are unmarked regions, like the Living Forest, that house some special features. If you’re lucky, you’ll even find Scorpion himself here.

Fortnite’s Living Forest is an unmarked location in the center of Flooded Frogs, Whiffy Wharf, and Lonewolf Lair. If you’re already running around the ground, your best bet is to start from Flooded Frogs and travel southwest using their connecting paths.

During certain weekly story and event quests, you’ll encounter objectives asking you to land at, eliminate opponents, or perform other specific tasks at this spot. If you need to land in the Living Forest, you’ll have to do this right after jumping out of the Battle Bus and gliding down. Otherwise, you can run around and explore to your heart’s content.

Although no buildings are directly in the Living Forest, you can find regular chest and floor loot around here, including items like Scorpion’s Kombat Kit. This forest is also one of Scorpion’s potential spawn locations, letting you fight his boss form for rewards like his Mythic Kombat Kit and the First Blood Medallion. You’ll often find other players here as well, giving you a chance to score some quick and easy eliminations.

As for the forest itself, it initially looks dead and gloomy until you land inside. All of the trees appear alive with faces that change as you explore. It’s a little spooky, but at least it looks cool. Thankfully, you don’t have to worry about them attacking you.

Landing at the Living Forest during Fortnite’s Mortal Kombat event will reward you with 30,000 account XP, bringing you one step closer to completing this season’s Battle Pass. Afterwards, you can use nearby POIs like Lonewolf Lair to break open a bank vault for extra goodies, search the map for Scorpion and claim his Medallion, or complete other Mortal Kombat quests for additional XP.
