Tina Knowles is celebrating 17 years of marriage for Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
On April 4, the superstar’s mom shared a video montage of the couple over the years, calling them two of her “favorite people” and praising them for being able to “block out all the outside noises.”
“Happy 17th anniversary to two of my favorite people in the whole wide world!!!!,” Tina Knowles wrote on Instagram, alongside red heart emoji. “Your love and commitment, and the ability to block out all the outside noises is remarkable. True love rises above all the b——-. Enjoy your day.”
The clip includes Beyoncé and Jay-Z embracing, posing together and having sweet moments on and off the stage.

Knowles didn’t elaborate on what the couple have been going through. However, last year, a federal lawsuit was filed against Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs alleging that they sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in 2000. The filing was made by an anonymous accuser, identified only as “Jane Doe.”
Jay-Z responded to the civil lawsuit, denying the allegations in a statement issued on the Roc Nation X account Dec. 8. In the lengthy statement, he touched on how the lawsuit would impact his family, especially his children.
“My only heartbreak is for my family,” he wrote, in part. “My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.”
“Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit,” he continued.
The woman dropped her lawsuit against Jay-Z and Diddy in February of this year, according to NBC News.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z secretly got married in 2008 after dating for about seven years.
“What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real,” Beyoncé told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show in November 2008, while talking about their relationship. She added that they decided to have a small ceremony because “it’s been my day so many days already.”
The pair have three children together: Blue Ivy Carter, Rumi Carter and Sir Carter.
